Soccer Betting Preview, China Soccer Team Offered $1 Million Dollar Bonus

China’s national soccer team has been offered a $1 million dollar bonus if they qualify for the 2010 World Cup. The China Football Association has said they will pay the team eight million yuan (1.09 million dollars) if they qualify for the World Cup.

Players on the China soccer team have taken a pledge that they will advance to the World Cup. China has only made the World Cup once in their history. They qualified in 2002 but were eliminated in the first round after losing all of their matches. They did not score a goal in that 2002 World Cup.
"I pledge to advance to the World Cup, which is the professional goal that we strive for," the players said, "We swear by death to kill along the bloody road of defending the honor of the motherland and realize our youthful dreams." The team has been offered other bonuses as well. They will get 500,000 yuan for each victory over a team ranked in the world top 50 and 300,000 yuan for each win over a lower ranked team.
The problem for China in World Cup qualifying is their group. They have a very difficult grouping. Some have already referred to it as the “group of death.” The other three teams are Australia, Asian champions Iraq and Asian Games winner Qatar. Only the top two teams from the group advance to the final qualifying stage. "The result of the grouping was the worst in the history of the China team,” manager Wei Shaohui said.
