NHL Hockey Preview, The Sports Network, Anaheim Ducks Invite Columbus Blue Jackets to Anaheim
(Sports Network) - The Columbus Blue Jackets begin a four-game road trip tonight, as they will battle the Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center.
The Blue Jackets have won two in a row and three of four, and are coming off of a 4-2 victory over Edmonton on Monday.
Rick Nash led the way, posting his second career hat trick. He leads Columbus with 21 goals and 35 points this season.
Jiri Novotny had a goal and an assist and Nikolai Zherdev collected two helpers to give him two goals and seven points in his last three games.
Pascal Leclaire made 26 saves in the win.
However, forward David Vyborny left the game in the second period due to a groin injury and is questionable for tonight.
Columbus is 5-9-2 on the road this season and will also visit LA, San Jose and St. Louis on its current trek.
Anaheim aims to halt a two-game losing streak that has followed a four-game winning run.
On Sunday, Roberto Luongo stopped 21-of-22 shots to help the Vancouver Canucks to a 2-1 victory over the Ducks.
Ryan Getzlaf scored the lone goal for Anaheim to up his team-leading points total to 40 (14 goals, 26 assists).
Jonas Hiller made 20 saves, while Scott Niedermayer and Todd Bertuzzi each assisted on the goal.
