NFC Wild Card Betting Playoffs, Washington Redskins (9-7) at Seattle Seahawks (10-6)

Saturday, 4:30 pm Eastern – NBC
SBG Global Opening Line: Seahawks - 4 , Total 41

The Washington Redskins will try and keep their momentum going as they take on the Seattle Seahawks in an NFC Wild Card playoff matchup on Saturday. The Redskins were 5-7 when safety Sean Taylor was killed but have gone 4-0 since then. "I wouldn't want to play us right now,” Washington defensive end Phillip Daniels said, "To be honest with you, I wouldn't. Because of the things we've done. We've played solid defense, the offense has played great, special teams. We're hitting on all cylinders right now.” SBG Global reports that early NFL betting has the public taking Seahawks at Home.
The Redskins are doing everything right of late. They are running the ball with running back Clinton Portis, throwing effectively with quarterback Todd Collins and playing tough defense. "We're not happy just to be here. We feel like we can do some damage," linebacker London Fletcher said.Collins has completed 63.8 percent of his passes for 888 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions. Two years ago, the Redskins played Seattle in the playoffs and lost 20-10. "We're a lot better team than that one,” Redskins cornerback Shawn Springs said, "We were really struggling on offense in 2005.”

SBG Global Current Line: Seahawks -3.5 (-105) , Total 39.5

Seattle comes into the game with the better record at 10-6 but they lost two of their final three games and were awful on defense. They gave up 44 points to the Falcons in their last game. "We don't enter the postseason on a positive note. But we will do what we've got to do," Seahawks linebacker Julian Peterson said. The key for Seattle will be to contain the run and get pressure on Collins. Peterson and defensive end Patrick Kearney combined for 24 sacks this season. The Seattle offense is led by quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and running back Shaun Alexander. Hasselbeck set franchise records for completions (352), attempts (562) and passing yards (3,966), this season. Seattle has won three straight playoff games at Qwest Field.
