NBA Betting Preview, Detroit Pistons (25-7) at Toronto Raptors (17-15)

Friday, 7:05 pm Eastern – ESPN
SBG Global Opening Line: Pistons - 4 , Total 186.5

The Detroit Pistons go for their 11th straight win on Friday as they take on the Toronto Raptors. The Pistons' streak is their longest since winning 11 straight in January of 2006. "Whenever you get in a situation like we're in now, it's because you take it one game at a time," said coach Flip Saunders, "We've been here before. We've been on some runs, so it's not like they are uncommon."
SBG Global reports that early NBA betting has the public taking Pistons on the Road.
The Pistons are averaging 100.8 points per game during the streak and outscoring opponents by an average of 16.8 points per game.
Richard Hamilton has averaged 19.4 points per game during the winning streak and led the Pistons in scoring in the last six games.
"It's fun. I'm not actually playing a lot of minutes," said Hamilton, "It's great when you're winning and the bench gets an opportunity. It makes everyone's job a lot easier." The Pistons would be getting a lot more recognition but the Boston Celtics are 27-3 and have the best record in the NBA. The Pistons have already beaten Boston once this season and host them on Saturday.
Detroit has lost four of their last six games in Toronto. The Raptors are returning home after a 3-4 road trip. "You would have liked for it to be a little better, but it could have been a lot worse," coach Sam Mitchell said. "You've got to give a lot of credit to the players. A long trip like this, they just hung in there. They could have easily packed it in." Chris Bosh averaged 24 points and 10.6 rebounds during the road trip.
"We just have more experience. We know we have to come out each and every game tough and with energy. We have to believe in ourselves," Bosh said.”
