NBA Basketball Preview, The Sports Network, Cleveland Cavalier host Sacramento Kings
(Sports Network) - LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers will close out a short two-game homestand this evening versus the Sacramento Kings at Quicken Loans Arena.
Cleveland has won three of four and five of its last eight games, including Wednesday's 98-94 victory over the Atlanta Hawks in the opener of the stand.
James scored 36 points, including 32 in the second half, to lead the Cavaliers to a 9-6 home mark so far this season.
Larry Hughes scored 14 points, while Drew Gooden had 13 points and seven rebounds in a winning cause.
On the injury front for Cleveland, guard Ira Newble is questionable for Friday's game because of the flu.
Meanwhile, the Kings will try to stay on the winning track tonight, when they resume a three-game road trip.
Sacramento ended a four-game losing streak with Wednesday's 107-97 win over the New York Knicks in the opener of the trek at Madison Square Garden.
John Salmons had a career-high 32 points and added 11 rebounds and six assists, as the Kings improved to 4-10 away from ARCO Arena this season.
Brad Miller added 26 points and 16 rebounds, and Francisco Garcia totaled 22 points for the Kings. Sacramento will also visit Chicago on the road trip.
Cleveland recorded a 93-91 win over Sacramento at ARCO Arena on November 9 this season.
James poured in 26 points for the Cavaliers, who have won three straight and four of the last five meetings.
Sacramento has won six of its last eight games at Quicken Loans Arena.
