NBA Basketball Preview, The Sports Network, Chicago Bulls Visit Charlotte Bobcats
(Sports Network) - The Charlotte Bobcats will try to stay on the winning path when they close out a short two-game homestand tonight versus the Chicago Bulls down south.
Charlotte ended a four-game losing streak with a 107-103 overtime victory against the Indiana Pacers on Monday at Charlotte Bobcats Arena.
Gerald Wallace poured in a season-high 36 points, including eight during the overtime period, to lead the Bobcats.
Jason Richardson went for 28 and eight boards, while Emeka Okafor had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds for Charlotte, which erased a 13- point deficit in the fourth quarter to force an extra session.
The Bobcats are 10-8 as the host this season.Meanwhile, the Bulls have lost four of their last six games and suffered a 112-110 overtime setback to the Orlando Magic on Monday at the United Center.
Ben Gordon had a game-high 39 points for the Bulls, who had a brief two-game winning streak halted.
Luol Deng had 21 points and seven boards, while Andres Nocioni had 19 points off the bench in defeat.
The Bulls are just 5-10 away from the Windy City in 2007-08.
Chicago is 2-0 so far against the Bobcats this season and has won three straight and five of the last six meetings.
After Wednesday's game, the Bulls will host Charlotte on January 25.
Chicago has won 10 of the 13 all-time meetings with the Bobcats, who have lost four of the six meetings as the host in this series.
