NBA Basketball Preview, The Sports Network, Portland Trail Blazers Aim for Another Win Streak at Chicago Against the Chicago Bulls
(Sports Network) - The Portland Trail Blazers will try to start another winning streak when they wrap up a three-game road trip tonight against the Chicago Bulls at the United Center.
After having its 13-game winning streak come to an end in the opener of the trek at Utah on Monday, Portland rebounded with Wednesday's 90-79 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center.
Brandon Roy scored 24 points and James Jones added 18 points off the bench for the Blazers, who have won 14 of their last 15 games and are tied atop the Northwest Division with Denver.
LaMarcus Aldridge had 17 points and 11 rebounds in the win, as Portland improved to 4-10 away from home this season.
Chicago has won three of its last four games, including Wednesday's 109-97 road victory over the Charlotte Bobcats.
Ben Gordon scored 22 points off the bench, grabbed six rebounds and added a pair of assists for the Bulls, who will open a three-game homestand tonight versus Portland, Sacramento and New York.
Luol Deng added 21 points, 13 rebounds and five assists, as the Bulls improved to 3-1 since Jim Boylan took over as interim head coach.
Rookie Joakim Noah added 17 points, while Joe Smith chipped in 16 for Chicago.
The Bulls are 6-8 at the United Center this season.
The Bulls went 2-0 against the Trail Blazers last season and have won three straight and five of the last six meetings.
Portland has dropped three in a row and four of its last five trips to the Windy City.
